CASE STUDY: KEITH'S STORY

At time of referral, Keith* was an 11 year old boy who showed physical and verbal aggression, and made threats to harm others. As the engagement phase with this family occurred post-lockdown, the therapist successfully organised a joint intake session via WhatsApp with the family.

With the strategy of organising two short 30-minute sessions per week via WhatsApp, the therapist was able to move onto the behavioural change phase of the therapy quickly. Meanwhile, due to working virtually, both the young person and parents were able to fill in clinical questionnaires online via Forms.

The therapist has also dropped off resources for the family prior to a session. The

family has continued to maintain great engagement with the therapy.
